With a heritage beginning in the year 1720, a business known as Woodcock’s Consulting Opticians was started which manufacturer ‘spectacles and eyeglasses of a very high standard’. The Eye Place is a direct descendant of that original business. Now trading from the former site of the Royal Oak, Alex Kemp bought this business in 2006 with the purpose of continuing that tradition of supplying ‘spectacles and eyeglasses of a very high standard’.
